Sennheiser HD 620

Pros

• the 620S by all accounts looks like a competent headphone with good soundstage for a closed back and a neutral sound signature.
• If you could increase the budget a bit I think the HD620S would be perfect for you
• I'm a closed back guy and consider the HD620s to be perfect (sometimes on sale around $250)
• Have a look at the Sennheiser HD620S. They have great passive isolation, relatively neutral tonality with a bit emphasis on the mid-bass.
• the Sennheiser HD620S are pretty good in technicalities and well-detailed.

Cons

• unlike other closed backs like the Fiio FT1 or the HD620S that are kinda bulky
• The Sennheiser HD620 are also good contender, though they're more on the clinical, analytical side. They have mid-bass bump but the execution of the bass is just okay, imho. The bass hits come off as quite soft, though it's clean and not...
• I auditioned the FT1, HD 620s, Aune SR7000, and even the DCA Noire X. None of them worked for me without huge sacrifices, so I didn’t keep any of them
• got myself the Sennheiser HD 620S. I'm no audiophile but to me they sound pretty similar to the point I wonder if I should just stick with my old ones til they completely die.
• The midrange and treble are okay, but honestly pretty good for a closed back headphone. They are better than the more expensive HD 620S for example.
