Sennheiser Accentum Plus
Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
The Sennheiser Accentum Plus is frequently described as a 'baby Momentum 4,' offering similar sound quality and tuning at a more accessible mid-range price. While it is highly praised for its balanced audio output and sophisticated design, it receives mixed feedback regarding long-term comfort due to its physical dimensions and software limitations.
Pros
- Sound quality is comparable to the flagship Momentum 4 in blind tests
- Excellent value for the price, often punching above its weight class
- Effective adaptive ANC that performs well for travel and noisy commutes
- Sleek, minimal design with a smaller, more portable footprint
- Supports high-quality codecs like aptX
Cons
- Small earcups can cause discomfort during long listening sessions
- Tight clamping force may be bothersome for some users
- Settings and customization are restricted to the mobile app with no PC support
- Reported poor performance when used for Discord
Caveats
- While the ANC is good for the price, it is not considered 'top tier' compared to flagship models
- Comfort is highly dependent on head size; those with larger heads or ears may find them too small
Best for
- Audiophiles on a budget seeking Sennheiser's signature tuning
- Users with average or smaller head sizes
- Commuters who prioritize sound quality over absolute maximum ANC
Avoid if
- You have large ears or are sensitive to high clamping force
- You require desktop software to manage headphone settings
- Your primary use case involves Discord or professional PC-based communication

If you can't stretch those additional 50 bucks, then I'd say the Sennheiser Accentum Plus are solid for the price.
I picked up the Accentum Plus at launch to test against the Momentum 4, and with Sound Personalization on both, they performed so similarly that I couldn't confidently tell you which was which in a blind test.
For your budget, I would strongly recommend adding to (and potentially demoing) the Sennheiser Accentum Plus. Outside of ANC performance, they are superior to the Sony's in almost every way.
The JBL Live 770nc or Sennheiser Accentum Plus is great too.
If ANC strength alone is your priority (especially for travel/planes or noisy commutes), the Sennheiser Accentum Plus and Baseus Inspire XH1 are generally the best in this group
The Momentum 4 is a great option if it hits your budget, but the Sennheiser Accentum Plus is really a great value at 150-199 dollars/euros.
Sennheiser Accentum plus: they should be comparable in quality to the Ult Wear, but i know sennheisers have a much better sound quality.
Wireless: Hyperx cloud 3 S Sennheiser Accentum Plus + Ugreen low latency dongle
I'm considering those. I'll watch a review for these.
The Accentum Plus has a bit of a tight clamp, but she might like it if her head is average or smaller.
