Honestly you are describing a Sebo canister and yes it takes bags but after you start using it consistently (after it picks up everything left behind from the bag less vacuums) you can buy one pack of bags and they should last about a year.

She went in absolutely knowing she never wanted a canister after her experience with the Dyson, but we walk out with her absolutely in love with a Sebo canister that we ended up getting for a decent deal as well.

For your use case, I’d actually recommend a SEBO canister instead. They’re better suited to heavy-duty cleaning as it’s a commercial based machine. Parts and servicing are far less expensive, and SEBO offers the same parquet attachment.
