• I put 5 Schlage encode plus models on the main doors; I’ve used Schlage smart locks for years and they work great. These are matter/thread locks that work great with apple home and also work great as simple dumb keypad locks.

Cons

• I had the exact same problem setting up my second Schlage encode plus and after a couple hours of resetting the lock and messing with the wifi, I found that my phone had auto connected back to the 5g wifi.
• It absolutely WILL NOT connect. ... It flashes slow blue, then fast blue, then it beeps and flashes red+blue, then beeps again and a red LED. The dumb app just spins and spins and spins.
• I am looking at the Schlage Encode Plus but I am unsure if it will fit on this door.
