I'm using a IFI zen dac 3 and Schiit magni for the amp in my bedroom.
Fortunately, pretty much any headphone amp around the $100 mark nowadays has plenty of power. JDS Labs Atom+, Schiit Magni, Topping L30II, etc.
Get a Schiit Magni for $119.
I use Schiit Magni+ and Heretic with mine and they sound great IMO.
the floor for most competent desktop amplifiers I'd recommend starts around $110-150 (Schiit Magni, Topping L30II, JDS Atom).
Schiit Magni is in that price range and a good, clean entry amp.
I'd recommend going with the Hifiman Sundara or something like that, plus a desktop amp like a Schiit Magni or Topping L30II running out of a $10 dongle like the Apple.

They really love being run balanced from a good amp, but they also sound pretty damned good through an inexpensive Schiit Magni (which you can get with a built-in DAC for less than $200).
