Pros

  • Few services can help with this: SavvyNomad/VirtualPostMail/Escapee They can provide you with a non-CMRA address that works with banks/brokerage accounts
  • Couldn't disagree more, they made the whole process super easy for me as a new digital nomad. Seems like a perfectly fair price, and there doesn't seem to be many other services that offer what they do, if any.
  • In my opinion, paying 10-20% of the value is a good deal, especially considering the premium support and service you get with SavvyNomad
  • Honestly seems like a pretty good deal. I had never heard of it because I’m in a no income tax state, but digital mail scanning, address change, vehicle registration.. that ain’t too cheap. You could probably set this all up yourself but...
  • Parent context: What if you _do_ want to register a vehicle & voter registration, is SavvyNomad still a good option? Reply: Oh for sure. It also just happens to be one of the few options that work if you do not register a vehicle

Cons

  • $660 USD / yr for SavvyNomad to solve the mail address issue is absurd. Eating 10-25% of your potential tax ssvings is just horrible cost analysis. They also have a weird dual address split etc
  • SavvyNomad user here. Is it perfect? No. Does it work? More or less. Been using them for 6+months and there's a bit of a learning curve. ... They give you a "real residential address" but you cannot get mail there. You use this for your...
  • So, about Savvynomad, I've heard mixed reviews. Some people say it's perfect, no problems, while others have had issues with customer service and delays. It seems like one of those services that either works brilliantly or not at all, no...

Honestly seems like a pretty good deal. I had never heard of it because I’m in a no income tax state, but digital mail scanning, address change, vehicle registration.. that ain’t too cheap. You could probably set this all up yourself but personally I’d happily pay that fee. What a good business idea

SavvyNomad user here. Is it perfect? No. Does it work? More or less. Been using them for 6+months and there's a bit of a learning curve. ... They give you a "real residential address" but you cannot get mail there. You use this for your new Florida license which works great. I also use this address for Robinhood and various banking...but if they send an mail it'll just be sent into the void so you won't get it

If you want a real residential address, no vehicle requirement, and zero banking issues, only two companies deliver: VirtualPostMail and SavvyNomad. ... For SavvyNomad, they only accept "official" mail at the RV park address -- as in, the mail item has to be from the government, IRS, or they also accept physical credit/debit cards. ... they use online notaries, will file a declaration of domicile for you, and also guide you through some other important steps when changing your domicile, like notifying the IRS about your change of address. Finally, they have CPAs on staff you can ask questions to.

I've used them and the reviews are very good. You can also book a video call with one of the founders at any time, which is neat.

With SavvyNomad, they give you a residential address at a RV & MH park that is not a CMRA address.
