- The hard part is it's not as grammatically 'crisp' as Satori. A lot of slang, noises, etc that can screw up your reading but you do get the hang of it.
- Satori Reader: I was surprised at how little hand-holding there is on this app compared to others. But since I'm still in the middle of figuring out Kana, I figure this is a bit further down the line.
- Normal reading apps like Satori Reader are challenging for me because the words and especially kanji get jumbled together.

Most of your time till N3'ish should be spend on textbooks with a little bit on graded readers like Satori Reader or Graded reader books
Look into Satori Reader. It's content ranges from N3-N2 depending on the story you read. I found it quite helpful when prepping for N2
I've personally used Satori Reader continuously for more than a year. It helped me blast through N5/N4 reading with 0 difficulty at all... I do agree with some of the comments here that the stories can be a bit boring, but I feel like it's still infinitely better than a textbook, and having all the annotations hold your hand through the readings is a great way to ease yourself into immersion-based learning.
