Pros
- In two weeks I would visit Bogotá, Cartagena, and Santa Marta (including its surroundings). It's a trip that blends culture and nature, ending in a more relaxed way on the Caribbean beaches.
- After that I flew to Cartagena, spent a few days, then drove up the coast to Santa Marta, Minca, and Tayrona Park. All were perfect experiences that I'll never forget.
- santa marta. the historic center and the Tayrona Park are really nice
- My girlfriends and I did Cartagena and Santa Marta and loved both. We never got harassed and I don't recall seeing other tourists get harassed.
- Writing to say that I disagree with this take 100%. My girlfriends and I did a girls trip to Cartagena and did not get harassed at all. We loved it there. We also did Santa Marta

- I was there a while back. Felt pretty safe everywhere except maybe Santa Marta.

I stayed one night in Santa Marta. It's kind of a neat city, especially the cathedral and the waterfront, but also kind of chaotic and a bit sketchy feeling so wouldn't recommend much time there and I would skip it if I go back, but I stayed at the Masaya hostel which was great, would definitely recommend.
