Pros

  • The S9 (not FE) is a flagship and it should serve you for years just fine.
  • I have ipad pro m2 and s9+ samsung. More practical use for daily work, drawings, videos and gaming is samsung. Ipad is just eating dust honestly. Ipad is fast though, but so is Samsung. Never felt any lag or delay honestly.
  • I'd suggest getting the Samsung tab fe series or the s9.
  • The + is definitely better for notetaking in class or at home on a desk, simply because it's bigger. It's proportion closely resemble a A4 sheet of paper
  • For media consumption, the s9+ would be the better device. Not only is only larger, it has the better screen (AMOLED vs the iPad's LCD).

Cons

  • But the S9+ that was listed as very good but had micro fractures that were visible.
  • I've had premium tablets in the past - S6, S7 & S9 but they all gathered dust after a while. Too big to use in the end.
  • Samsung S9, I really like it but it's old! More than 2 years old now!
  • Samsung S9+ (Refurbished - Excellent) $460 No Pen
  • Had a look at Samsung s9+ but the battery didn't seem good enough.

S9+ is a flagship device, the ipad air is not. For value the samsung is better.

S9 exists a little bit above my price point but I can shell out maybe 50 more euros if it's really good. I heard only good things about it, just not sure if it's a better choice over the others, price-to-performance wise.
