Pros

  • This looks so cool, it reminds me to this game called Sable.
  • Sable is one of my favourite indie games ever. The exploration is incredibly good and the world looks great and has a lot of thought put into it. It also has surprisingly strong writing (whenever there is writing) and feels thematically...
  • It is an amazingly atmospheric game. I rrally wish morr games took an stylized approach to their graphics instead of going for realism or anime-ness most of the time.
  • Sable was one of my favorite game I played on 2023, and in hindsight it made me realize I would have liked Breath of the wild more without combat. I loved how radical it was and how you understood how aspect of the culture emerged by exp...
  • I looooove this game so much. Exploration, environmental storytelling, gorgeous non-photorealistic art, great music, and minimalistic but thoughtful writing are all things I look for in games. Sable is not going to be for everyone but it...

Cons

  • I really wanted to like this game, but I ultimately couldn't enjoy an exploration game where the exploration felt so bad mechanically. Climbing felt soooo broken and inconsistent, which really frustrated me. Even the hover bike would fli...
  • Disappointingly, I had to stop playing it as the framerate drops were causing me to get really annoying headaches. I do suffer from motion sickness but have never experienced it when playing even single player games so I was really shock...
  • The exploration is so amazing, the world is beautiful. The soundtrack by Japanese Breakfast which is an artist I love. But the performance kept me from finishing it. It broke immersion so badly. :(
  • I love the floating mechanic. I love the aesthetic. I love the vibes. But the performance hits can be frustrating.
  • This is, as most people would expect based on a first impression, one of those vibe games. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but what drew me in is obviously the Moebius inspired cel-shaded aesthetic and the music from Japanese Breakfast...

I really wanted to like this game, but I ultimately couldn't enjoy an exploration game where the exploration felt so bad mechanically. Climbing felt soooo broken and inconsistent, which really frustrated me. Even the hover bike would flip at the slightest bit of geometry. And don't get me started about the swimming

Disappointingly, I had to stop playing it as the framerate drops were causing me to get really annoying headaches. I do suffer from motion sickness but have never experienced it when playing even single player games so I was really shocked when I worked out that Sable was causing it.

Sable was one of my favorite game I played on 2023, and in hindsight it made me realize I would have liked Breath of the wild more without combat. I loved how radical it was and how you understood how aspect of the culture emerged by exploring ruin. But yes the game have a really poor technical side.

I looooove this game so much. Exploration, environmental storytelling, gorgeous non-photorealistic art, great music, and minimalistic but thoughtful writing are all things I look for in games. Sable is not going to be for everyone but it almost felt like it was made for me specifically.

This is, as most people would expect based on a first impression, one of those vibe games. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but what drew me in is obviously the Moebius inspired cel-shaded aesthetic and the music from Japanese Breakfast. ... What did hinder my experience was the performance of the game. There are severe frame rate drops in certain areas, audio glitches, stuttering and summoning the hover bike only works when it wants to.
