RustDesk can be both used with the public or even your own instance if you don't trust the public one. It's UI is inspired by TV, but far simpler imo. It being FOSS might also allow you to dig into the internals, open tickets for the dev and ask questions if needed.
Not sure if Rust Desk fits the bill but I've used it and love that it's open source.
Host your own Rustdesk and it costs nothing.
I have used ScreenConnect in the past and also TeamViewer and Rust desk is on a par with them in my opinion, in some ways outperforms.
