Pros
- Aaronovitch's Rivers of London
- Rivers of London. We've had news of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's production company acquiring the rights but it's been crickets ever since. Talk about getting blue-balled.
- Rivers of London (Ben Aaronovitch).
- Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch - cosy police procedural plus magic.
- I just finished catching up on Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London (Peter Grant) series, and I am officially having a major book hangover. I’m looking for some solid recommendations to fill the void
Cons
- "Randy" is the politest way to describe someone who is an absolute creep towards almost every female character in the story. Peter may not be the exact definition of "sexist," but I would not trust the taste of anyone who suggested River...
- Especially the later books - PC Grant does fall into the horny male protagonist trap a tad, especially in the first few books. Not close to Dresden levels though. Rivers of London good.

Rivers of London is a series I've described almost in the exact way your title does 🤣
Rivers of London.
Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch... Again it is first person with a wonderful tone from a guy who earnsestly believes in doing the right thing by the law and is often a bit bewildered. It is a pretty long series now. I thoroughly enjoyed it on audio because it is brilliantly read.
