I went with 2 friends and based ourselves in Reykjavik and did some amazing tours.
I find food tours to be a great way to get to know local restaurants and food. Rekyavik has a fantastic food tour! Highly recommend it.
Have enough time to see some great waterfall , bath in hot springs / lagoons and see Northern Light at night
Skip Reykjavic. Boring.
I personally like puffin season in Reykjavik. It falls in August. And the weather is great!
The most interesting for me are Reykjavik (though more for what you can seee outisde the city than what is actually inside),Athens (for ancient history) and Warsaw (very good all rounder for me).
Don't spend too much time in Reykjavik, it's fine but all the best stuff is out of town.
