Pros
- Someone previously suggested Revive as an option for the below, and it’s definitely on my radar.
- Check out **Revive**, similar weight class as Wingspan but with a bunch of fun chaining mechanisms (ie engine building).
- Revive is a game I always feel like not enough people talk about, but its an exploration game that has some good card and engine elements, and asymmetric factions that allow for lots of different ways to play. Excellent game that's in yo...
- Revive has blown me away. I scoffed at the art and simplicity after reading rules. It is really good!
- After one game of Recall, I massively prefer Revive still. Far better tribe asymmetry that actually changes what you're doing on the board and card + module action chaining is a lot more engaging that the simpler keycard slot system.
Cons
- Revive's range system to spawn in meeples and buildings is a bit clumsy.
- I've only played it the one time, but I recall Revive having tech trees.
- Revive can have some beefy turns when the combos are hitting. There are also "reset" turns though which could be a turn off.
- Above is an example from Revive, which has a lot of little fiddly bits and before getting the token silo the baggies were beyond annoying to deal with.

Ark Nova, Castles of Burgundy, Everdell, Yokohama, Le Havre, Revive, Civolution, Ezra and Nehimiah

For me. Revive is far better, turns are quicker, downtime is much less, the game is more varied and I prefer the much much more varied action selections of the cards over the keys.
If you like heavy-ish euros with some really good chaining turns and bonuses actions then you'll love revive. The clans are all cool and varied and the expansion adds a few good bits but a few bits that weren't needed.
I've only played it the one time, but I recall Revive having tech trees.
