Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • Yeah, got it working with smtp, and it works well enough that I may not go back.
  • Parent context: SMTP will 100% get blocked. Use resend. Reply: SMTP is not the problem. It is always a rep or config problem
  • I have now tried resend and it just works!!
  • The website I built was super simple, just 4 pages including a contact form using Resend.
  • I use Resend.com for like everything except email marketing.

Cons

  • So I looked at resend and it looks fine. So to get a template in there, I have to take it from another site. (Their other site which is react email to be fair). Then the editor is awkward as fuck and I cant just edit the html. ... I also...
  • Set up resend free tier for email and stripe for payment integrations
  • Hoping someone can spare a second to prevent me messing up my site's emails while moving my contact form to Resend!
  • I think Postmark and Resend are mostly focused replacing your SMTP server, not handling email templates.
  • Postmark, Resend, etc. All great. All miss my mark.

So I looked at resend and it looks fine. So to get a template in there, I have to take it from another site. (Their other site which is react email to be fair). Then the editor is awkward as fuck and I cant just edit the html. ... I also can only get 100 contacts at once. ... Then it turns out im sending marketing emails, not transactional emails, so the price is not 20$ a month, but 40$ for up to 5000 users.
