I think the single best podcast episode I've ever heard is "The Case of the Missing Hit" from Reply All.

It reminds me of how the Reply All episode is done where they track down the Indian telemarketer and that’s one of my all time favorite podcasts.

RIP Reply All, forever on the hunt for something comparable. ... It was so special.

Reply all/Search Engine/Hyperfixed navigated the very fine line between 'lets hang out' and 'get to the point of the story' very well, and few other people know how to do that.

I used to enjoy Reply All a lot before the Test Kitchen saga

Reply All is still my all time favorite podcast, but I can only listen to every single episode so many times before it gets a little stale.

If you like Search Engine, you should definitely check out some episodes of PJ Vogt’s earlier podcast, Reply All. Specifically, listen to Episode 158, “The Case of the Missing Hit”. It’s an hour long and easily the best episode of any podcast I’ve ever listened to.
