reMarkable

Pros

• I was also recommended remarkable. It is the most expensive one out of all, but it seems that it has a wider range for downloading documents and allows note-taking.
• Just for notes on eInk remarkable is the clear winner for me.
• I would LOVE to have a Remarkable tablet, but I just can't afford the $400-$500 price tag.
• At first I figured an e-ink device (like a remarkable) would be the best fit since I'll only be using it for taking notes so many colors don't really matter, and the battery life would be great.
• I haven’t tried Remarkable, but I’ve read some good recommendations about it, I’ve seen only one person (a CEO) using it.

Cons

• Remarkable are devices created for a specific task, namely note taking, and not for reading books (but they can open epubs/pdfs and you can read on them).
• remarkable used to be top tier but subscription services after an already expensive product purchase piss me off
• I guess the exception there is the Remarkable line, using a gallery 3 vs kaleido 3 on most other devices. Installing KOReader on them is a decent experience, but not amazing.
• If your literature comes only in pdf's: tablet (cheaper) or big powerful ereader ala remarkcable (pay a pretty penny).
• Well, that is not counting the continuous subscription costs to access most Remarkable features as I pointed out.
