Red Dead Redemption

Pros

• RDR had me completely immersed for a long time. I remember showing it to my brother, as an example of how the look of games had become so good.
• Red Dead Redemption is one of my favourites, though I never could get into RDR2 for some reason.
• And so I went on to play RDR. And I'm glad I did. The game is a goddamn masterpiece, no less.
• I am delighted to report back that RDR is glorious. It looks great, controls feel good, so much fun riding around and doing cowboy stuff. The writing is top notch and it's a pleasure just riding between missions.
• Still having an absolute blast with Red Dead Redemption. Game stat says I’m about 1/3 through.

Cons

• While it wasn’t as good as it could have been, it was still worth my time, and the DLC (brand new for me!) was a riot.
• Damn I played this game this year, and had the exact opposite reaction. It felt extremely dated, empty, and I felt the absolute wear of walking into an area and trivially shooting enemies in this one.
• I had zero issues with the game, but I think there was something wrong with my PS3 controller (not surprising given how old it is) and the controls just felt bad. My first impressions of the game were solid so I am looking forward to pic...
