I have a problem now that after finishing the Realm of the Elderlings, other books feel a little hollow. I mean even tho they are good and I enjoy them, they are just not quite there the way RotE was for me in how alive the characters feel.

Some of my other favorite books or series for perspective: Wheel of Time, Song of Ice & Fire, Lord of the Rings, World of the Five Gods, Lymond Chronicles(not fantasy, but feels like it and just plain awesome), The Fifth Season, and Realm of the Elderlings.
Im a huge fan of Hobb and especially Realm of the elderlings, I think most of the time you see people telling people to love on its people who think book 1 is too sad or who don’t like the writing style
