Pros
- Ravello is heavenly - we loved walking over to Ravello.
- I stayed in Ravello for 5 days in late May, and we appreciated being above (literally) the tourist crowds since you're up in the mountains. It's a cute town with some great restaurants and villas to explore
- I also love Ravello but it’s a bit tucked away.
- Positano is our favourite town on the coast, but Ravello and Amalfi (town) are both worthwhile to visit.
- I absolutely adored the Amalfi Coast (especially Ravello)
Cons
- Ravello is popular too. It will be crowded.
- Ravello is higher up and not convenient for making day trips out by ferry (the most ideal way IMO as buses are going to be packed)
- forget ravello. you re already pushing it too much. ravello is not an easy village to reach.
- Ravello certainly has beautiful views, but can be accessed from Amalfi/Atrani, it might feel small for 3+ nights, and it’s not a great base for any day trips, due to the extra hassle transiting down to the coast from up there (and back).
- Ravello is a mare. And public transport to & from will be rammed.
