  • Rav4 prime!
  • the RAV4 has the prime trim which makes 300 HP and is kinda quick actually. It's a PHEV.
  • Id you want a Gass SUV and eh wants a Tesla why not compromise and get a plug in like a RAV4 Prime
  • I would say RAV4 prime. I believe the ford escape has a PHEV but I'd choose a Toyota over a Ford every day personally.

Cons

  • My friend has a RAV4 prime and it's supposed to be the best of the best of the rav4 made in Japan. Still feels cheap and the road noose is atrocious.
  • PHEV toyotas are crazy overpriced Even with frequent electric driving, cheap electricity, and expensive gas, you never recoup the increased upfront price with fuel savings compared to the regular rav4 hybrid

Sounds like Rav4 Prime is the perfect vehicle for you. For days when you’re only driving under 50 miles you can run on all electric and then you always have engine with amazing MPG for long trips.

If you can charge at home, get the RAV4 Prime / Plug-In Hybrid. In electric mode it’s a lot quieter than either of the other two. I wouldn’t call it sportier, but it is definitely faster than the CX-50.
