If you are hosting a lets say MERN project , or nextjs project then for convenience you can go with railway.com .

In my opinion if you want to go with less headache version go with a paas like railway or something to auto scale for you since you’re growing you can focus more on your product.

Hosting: Vercel (frontend) + Railway (backend)

Choose Render or Railway to host your pilot (they both offer free plans and are beginner-friendly).

Put it on Railway. Cheapest / easiet (not affiliated, just love em)

If they need to be dynamic, maybe look into Railway or Render where you can actually run ffmpeg properly.

HTTPS & TLS: Should be default — platforms like Vercel or Railway handle this.

After 15 years of Wordpress only I built a saas with supabase, resend, railway in a couple weeks and feel damn good about scaling it. It’s stupid fast and good on all these elite level service providers for having free / cheap scalable entry points.

Someone mentioned Railway with a hard spending limit, and a black and white "after x dollars we cut you off" is exactly what I wanted for peace of mind and simplicity at this stage.

I can also recommend Railway for something small I.e. CMS hosting, 5$/mo flat.
