In New Zealand, Queenstown is beyond stunning. It'll be winter, so lots of snowy mountains and beautiful spots nearby (Aoraki/Mount Cook).

Queenstown is a must as it offers such a wide variety of activities. We tried the fast boat and the cable car and it did worth. The beach is really nice and if the weather allows sunbathing is a must.

Queenstown stay was my biggest expense. You can take a car and stay a bit away or stay in hostels (shared dorm style). If you do a subset of my activities and shared dorm style you can finish it all in 3K - 4K NZD. Ya its an expensive holiday!! :(
