Prolux Phantom

Pros
- 50/50 floor surfaces almost always points to a canister with powerhead. ... Kenmore 400/600, Miele C3 cat and dog. Dark horse is Prolux Phantom or QX series.
- You could go for a Prolux Phantom for $359
- A few other options you could look at are Kenmore 400/600, Prolux Phantom and QX series. I'd probably go Miele if it's in budget.
- Prolux Phantom or QX models feature Wessel Werk powerheads which are the main concern with canisters.
- With a canister and powerhead, the cheapest is probably the Prolux Phantom but that's $100+ over budget for the cheapest model.

Kenmore 400/600, Prolux Phantom, demo QX Prolux models should all last a decade or more.
Parent context: 50 50 surfaces I usually suggest a canister with powerhead. Canisters work better on bare floors. Kenmore 400/600 is in your budget, or a demo Prolux Phantom canister. Reply: Oooh the Prolux one actually might be the one! Thank you!!
Take a look at the Prolux Phantom canister or Qx60/qx90 models. The latter have a lifetime motor warranty upon registration and 5 year everything else.
Get a Kenmore 400/600 canister with powerhead or return/refurb Prolux Phantom canister.
I'd get a Prolux Phantom canister with the lightweight Wessel Werk ebk250 powerhead, newer model I think. Since it's going to be used commercially, grab a refurb/return from Prolux directly or others seem to sell them on eBay too for about half the price of new.
