Project L

I have had great success playing Butterfly Garden, Whale Riders, Blue Lagoon and Project L with my young relatives.

Project L is a light game about solving little polyomino puzzles.

You could also get a light gateway game like **Project L** or **Ticket To Ride**.

Butterfly Garden, Project L, Gazebo, Jaipur and Lost Cities all work great at 2p.

Project L. Pure polyomino tile puzzle game. You draft puzzles and tiles to complete them. The tiles are just so nice and colorful. Really easy to pick up and play.

In Project L I think that you normally keep your points face down so others can't see them. But the game can easily be played with a rule that you keep your tiles (with points on them) face up. Then the points would be visible to all players.

Splendor is, IMO, inferior to a couple of similar games: Century Spice Road and Project L. So if you want to get him a light engine builder, I would recommend either of those over Splendor.

I would also add **Ingenious, Ingenious 3d, Sunsrise Lane, Butterfly Garden** and **Project L**

**Project L** is a light tile laying, engine building game. It may also be worth a look.

Parks, Rome In A Day, Spots, The Quacks Of Quedlinburg, Harmonies, Space Base, Project L, Sea Salt And Paper. All bangers and although you're trying to win, there's a lot of luck/hidden information, so it won't get that competitive.
