Procreate is a good drawing app, one the best l have ever used but you have to keep in mind cost

on iPad you have Procreate, Affinity, and a lot of pro‑grade drawing and design apps that are extremely well optimized and tightly integrated with the hardware and the Pencil.

I'm under the impression iPads with goodnotes for studying and procreate for drawing are the gold standard

She uses Procreate and even bought brush sets (Rusty nibs or something among others).

Procreate is great, but Android is big enough these days that there are some really good apps on android now too.

Best option is probably going to be an iPad with ProCreate. Mostly because you can't get ProCreate for Android.

I also have an iPad Pro and thinking about learning procreate (I like drawing in general).

For creatives and notetakers, many apps will don't have Android versions and will never get them. Some notable apps are Procreate, Notability, a version of GoodNotes that's device native, all Affinity tools, AutoCAD, some Adobe tools, etc.
