Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • Its such a good car but 100k is a lot of money
  • Taycan and E-tron GT is at the absolute top of the wish list, not sure about reliability. Good reliability could make it affordable.
  • Driving a Taycan. Living the dream.
  • I would LOVE a Taycan, but not quite fitting our needs right now.
  • The Taycan is much more aerodynamic and can charge really fast. I’m not really surprised.

Cons

  • At that price range, you could be looking an Audi Etron GT or Porsche Taycan CPO.
  • Having sat in a Taycan I’ll wait for the underlying platform to be improved to give it more interior space for the size of the vehicle.
  • It looks like a German car. Two German cars actually, the Taycan and the 911 hybrid.
  • If not then a Mercedes EQS or EQE, Cadillac Lyriq, or Porsche Taycan, but the Lucid will be by far the best car out of all of them.
  • Porsche didn’t do themselves any favors because the Taycan has had a bunch of different software and design issues.

I’d avoid Kia and Hyundai due to the ICCU issues. porsche taycan, BMW i4 or iX, ford mustang mach-e, or a Tesla Model 3 or Y performance

The 2019 Taycan fast charge max was 255 kW, which was very good at the time but now [the large battery version can hit 330kW.](https://evkx.net/models/porsche/taycan/taycan/chargingcurve/)

I think the Taycan is a great first effort. Getting it on a dedicated EV platform should only improve it.
