I went there 15 years ago and last summer. I could see the huge development. Most recently developed places do not match my expectations for an authentic travel plan but there are still a few very nice beaches not that crowded which I enjoyed last summer.

That's too many days in Phu Quoc, IMHO. We were just there in 2024 and find it it OK, not worth that many days and a bit too touristy especially targeting domestic/Asian tourist with its ornate, fake European city vibe.
If you want a more island vibe, I would recommend visiting Phu Quoc. Haven't visited it personally, but heard lots of good things about it.
