Yes, they are extremely crowded with tourists but there is a reason for that. The combination of limestone mountains, turquoise waters and sandy beaches is stunningly beautiful and in Southeast Asia, I would say only matched by Palawan in the Philippines.

Thailand is one of those destinations that genuinely lives up to the hype and your itinerary hitting Phuket, Phi Phi, and Krabi is the perfect combination for a first visit. The water clarity around Phi Phi for scuba diving must have been incredible because that area has some of the best visibility in Southeast Asia.
