Pros

  • I bought it for the PSVR 2 a little over a month ago due to the hype and man this game is amazing to play in VR.
  • Some of our best gaming experiences so far have been The Forest, Baldur’s Gate 3, Life Is Strange 2, PUBG, The Outlast Trials, and Phasmophobia.
  • One of my favorite games! The devs release content at a snails pace but have seemed to pick up recently now that they released console ports.
  • I've played 200+ hours and once I got the hang of things and understood how to play even on the hardest difficulty, it became muuuch less scary.
  • If it makes you feel any better, I’ve got about 60 hours in the game and, while it starts off feeling scary, over time you’ll learn the “generic” ghost behaviors and at some point the fear factor kinda goes away.

Cons

  • Honestly though I’ve put a lot of hours into this on Xbox and it very rarely actual gets a scare off. The circumstances have to be perfect for the scares to land.
  • A moderately derogatory term for games like Peak and Content Warning and Phasmophobia and the like where the idea is to less have some tight game with a high skill ceiling and more to make something for people to vibe with their friends...
  • Honestly, I get it’s a cheaper game but for as much as it has sold, the new content pipeline has been pretty bare.
  • All those copies sold and extra income to put into the game yet they’ve been teasing the **2.0 Horror Update** for about 4-5 years now!! Absolutely ridiculous.
  • I've played it a while ago, it gets boring kinda quickly imo. Very repetitive gameplay.

Played this a lot online during the early days of Covid. Very spooky, best played online.
