Pros
- I did Perhentians two years ago and Borneo (Mabul, Sukau, Lamag, Sepilok) the past summer. Make sure to book in advance.
- Would also love to visit Perhentian Islands at some point.

- I've heard the Perhentian islands are very nice. We spent some time at Tioman, also an island off the east coast. We loved our stay there. Snorkeling there was some of the best I've experienced.
Cons

Snorkeling is amazing there when visibility is good, but it really depends on the weather that week.
Malaysia as a country but especially Perhentian Islands. Ended up there backpacking completely random just because the lady at a cheap Hotel in Kuala Lumpur mentioned that its nice and as we didn't have any other plans, decided on the spot to just go there and see. That was in 2010 so I don't know how it is today but back then it was such a beautiful little place with not too many tourists, no big hotels, just beautiful clean white beaches, some makeshift bars on the beach to chill and great food in little restaurants.
