Pros
- Baby pepcid helped a lot, and she grew out of it by 8-9 months
- Go see your pediatrician about the reflux. Maybe some Pepcid or Simeticone.
- This is why my doctor preferred for me to take Prilosec or Pepcid daily to prevent having to take so much Tums.
- He also has reflux and has been on pepcid since 3.5 weeks old.
- The two items that I noticed affecting my symptoms ended up being salt (LOL) and Pepcid (fomatidine - which is an antihistamine!). These had absolutely nothing to do with anything to do with my genetic report.
Cons
- We're already on day 3 of pepcid for possible silent reflux and haven't seen any results yet. Will keep trialing it for the week, but so far it's not helping.
- But now we're on .4ml of pepcid twice a day and have been on it for three days so far with no sign of improvement.
- Maybe Pepcid, can’t hurt.
- Parent context: Just a cautionary tale, if you take it chronically, it can be hard to ever come off it. It makes your stomach make less acid. But your stomach notices that and tries to fix it by making more acid. The longer you take it,...
- I’m already maxed out on Pepcid and omeprazole, and I chug Mylanta at night.

my baby was put on reflux meds (pepcid) at 7 weeks when he'd rear back, arch, and scream during nursing.
The reflux is well controlled with pepcid now
