Pros

• We ultimately decided to bring, then managed to forget to grab them on the way out the door to the airport. This would have eliminated the need for thrifting and come in handy plenty the second half of the trip when the weather got colder

• When going colder I added either a down vest or a synthetic puffy (Patagonia nano puff), a PolarBuff and some gloves which keep me when just standard around (static) to around 15F.
• I wear the Patagonia Nano puff. Had it for 4 years and use it every time I travel to winter destinations. It's not a thick jacket, but with a rain jacket outside of it, it's super warm.

Cons

• I certainly don't consider the nanopuff a warm jacket. I wear mine in probably mid 40s to 50s (or low 60s after dark)
