Pros

  • Elektron and OXI One both have excellent sequencers.
  • What’s your budget, cause an oxi one is pretty dope. Can get a mk1 for a decent price
  • I am eventually planning to replace it with the OXI one v2, but that's in part because I rarely use the melodic/synth samples of the play, so I would just sequence all my other synths/modular with it.
  • The Oxi One is probably the standard recommendation for a do-all sequencer though.
  • Oxi one or squarp hapax. Best sequencers out there.

Cons

  • A friend recommended it to me but it's way too much money for what I'm trying to do. The sequencing aspect doesn't really appeal to me (I prefer to play).
  • The OXI One is a great sequencer, but I wouldn’t use it as a controller.

Oxi (even Mk1) is a powerhouse for its size and portability; I did like its generative stuff

The oxi is very versatile, the generative and random features are very cool. It technically can do most of what the t1 does and definitely does a lot more. I don't have the best memory so remembering the button combos was tricky for me at times, but I really have no other complaints about it.

The OXI One can really do it all, but I could see an argument that since you already have so much sequencing ground covered in the Digitone and Rhythm that perhaps the Torso would really bring something unique to the table.

the Oxi One has a pretty sophisticated chord mode. You can choose inversions, spreads, root notes, and have a ton of variation easily available. Also can have other sequences follow the chord and harmonize instantly with the changes. It's a game changer.
