Otter.ai

Pros

• On personal phones I almost always go with UAG or Otter.
• I would recommend to go that are the best fit for you like: fireflies, meetjamie, missnotes, otter.
• I transcribe all my lectures with Otter.ai then run them through AI Blaze to polish - takes just a cpuple minutes and the notes come out perfectly structured
• For speech-to-text, I'd say give Otter.ai a whirl! Handles accents like a boss and lets you keep your multilingual swag on.
• I use Otter and just record on the phone. It does a good job transcribing and generating action points.

Cons

• I've been using Otter on my phone for this but you're right about the friction. Having to remember to start it, hold my phone awkwardly during in-person meetings, etc.
• I tried Otter and Audiosnips for cloud backup, but [APIWrapper.ai](http://APIWrapper.ai) finally handled auto-routing transcripts into related daily notes.
• the main problem with otter is that the free plan only comes with little minutes per month of transcription (and as a student i can't afford any sub per month)
