Osprey Farpoint 55

Pros
- Osprey Farpoint 55 (which is really a separate 40L + 15L) is great and Osprey still stands behind their products
- -Osprey Farpoint 55 (40L main bag & 15L day bag)
- Another alter would b something like a Farpoint 55 with the 15 liter detachable backpack to be used as personal item.
- My first thought is one of the Osprey packs that actually consists of a day pack and a larger backpack that connect to each other. The Farpoint 55 is a good example.
- If it won’t fit right in the Farpoint 55 after arrival, some sort of roll top comes to mind.
Cons
- The latter has no internal organisation and doesn't really make any sense without its daypack. With the daypack, you always get 55 liters capacity which is almost universally excessive.
- As an ex-Farpoint 55 owner the daypack does help with organization, but since your heaviest stuff (electronics) will end up in the daypack, it also makes the backpack unbalanced and more uncomfortable.

I just got the Osprey Farpoint 55 pack (40L main w/ 15L daypack) and I will be using this for an upcoming two week trip moving between four locations via train and future trips. I've been pre-packing to see how this loads and fits. I am really stoked.
My backpacks are the Farpoint 40 and Farpoint 55 (yes the older, taller modell)
This year I traveled with a 1.5 bag (Osprey Farpoint 55)
