Pros
- I use Opal on my iOS devices but would love something cross platform so I can sign up once and block the same sites, apps, etc in one go.
- I'm using the free plan on Opal? For me that works just fine...
- In the meantime, you can try Opal.
- Opal, changed the game for my phone addiction. 9am to 9pm not a single app where I would usually waste my time is allowed.
- U probably know of Opal, which works quite well. Honestly, I have to set screen limit on apps and give somebody else the password. This works well for me
Cons
- Parent context: opal Reply: Opal is not free, it has a pretty expensive subscription plan actually
- Ok, I’ll step in because I’ve had an Opal for going on 6 years now. I could show you exactly where the sound is coming from if I was there, but yes. It needs replacement. Furthermore, 100% absolutely pay for the longest extended you can....
- I looked into Opal because a lot of people mentioned it, but the price was a hard no. I’m not paying a full annual subscription just to stop myself from opening Instagram when I’m bored.
- I have Opal installed and a bunch of websites blocked on my phone and my laptop, but I still get anxious and just want to avoid doing/thinking about the task.
- opal! screen time limiter

Ok, I’ll step in because I’ve had an Opal for going on 6 years now. I could show you exactly where the sound is coming from if I was there, but yes. It needs replacement. Furthermore, 100% absolutely pay for the longest extended you can. This problem will happen… not if. When. I am on my 3rd opal, and the only reason is because of the extended warranty, otherwise I would never have replaced the 1st one.

I downloaded Opal to limit my app usage - it’s helpful for me to be mindful of my time usage but you can easily get past the blocks so it doesn’t always work.
In the meantime, you can try Opal.
