AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

The OnePlus Pad 3 is generally regarded as a high-performance Android tablet that offers flagship-level specs, such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, at a more competitive price point than its Apple and Samsung rivals. Users frequently highlight its speed, 8-speaker system, and large screen as major strengths, though it makes notable trade-offs in display technology and biometric security.

Pros

  • Top-tier performance with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
  • Excellent value for the price compared to iPad Pro and Samsung flagships
  • Large, high-resolution 13.2-inch display
  • Impressive 8-speaker audio setup
  • Smooth UI and high RAM/storage configurations (up to 16GB/512GB)

Cons

  • Lacks an OLED display, utilizing an IPS panel instead
  • No fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication
  • Front camera quality is reportedly poor for professional video calls
  • No cellular/SIM support mentioned in base models
  • Aspect ratio is less than ideal for wide-screen movie viewing

Caveats

  • While suitable for note-taking and PDFs, the stylus receives criticism for professional drawing or artistic work
  • The screen lacks the contrast and deep blacks of OLED competitors despite its high resolution
  • The aspect ratio is optimized for productivity over media consumption

Best for

  • Mobile gamers seeking a 'powerhouse' device
  • Students looking for a high-performance tablet with a discount
  • Users who want flagship speed without paying iPad Pro prices

Avoid if

  • You prioritize an OLED screen for high-contrast media consumption
  • You require a fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking
  • You are a professional digital artist who needs a top-tier stylus experience

This summary uses balanced time weighting with about a 6-month half-life. The evidence is older (median age ~302 days), which may be significant for a fast-changing hardware category; users should check for more recent software updates or hardware revisions.

From the reviews I've watched it's the best android tablet at the moment, it's competing with the ipad pro m4 but for so much less money. Only con is the lack of OLED display. Seems like great value.

The one plus pad is better than the air in everyway except processing. Which the air doesn't take full advantage of because of ipados.

You could go for the oneplus pad 3, if you increase your budget by a little bit. Great tab, and comes with a pencil.
