• But some fiction I loved was One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig.
• Recent favorite reads: -Eragon(Inheritance Cycle) -The Witcher -Fourth Wing series -One dark window
• One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig — dark, moody fantasy about a kingdom suffering from a curse. There’s a decent amount of romance, but it’s more “fade to black” in terms of explicitness.
• One Dark Window was also my first romantasy. I thought it was pretty decent. I liked the ending of the first book. ... overall I think it was a nice introduction to romantasy. Not too much steam. Good plot.
• I loved the writing, the story, the characters.

Cons

• One Dark Window, it’s wonderful but I know that there are implications of emotional abuse with a minor character.
• I DNFd the audiobook over hearth!
• I also just listened to this and it also drove me absolutely bonkers!! How does any adult get into audiobook narration OF FANTASY FICTION and not know how to pronounce hearth correctly!
• I’m only about 30% through One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig narrated by Lisa Cordileone (please, no spoilers) but I keep getting yanked out of the flow by bad pronunciation of one specific word. You wouldn’t guess the word “hearth” would...
• Your review reassured me I did the right thing to dnf it. I was SO bored.
