To me, the only part that fell flat was the ending. >!After all the kinds of revolutionary actions committed by the French 75, and the sensei’s organized support of the outcasts in his community, seeing Charlene take up the mantle by going to a protest felt very underwhelming. Like protests are fine and all, but seem really tepid and superficially impactful relative to the revolutionary spirit of the film.!<
