Omnisearch

Pros

• I prefer the community plugin omnisearch. It's intutive to me.
• Then proceed to try the plugin called Omnisearch.

• I will always recommend "Omnisearch" to everyone. I just find it so useful how it can "dig into" files and search within them
• There's a community plugin called Omnisearch which basically do what Everything does. It takes base Obsidian search capabilities and expand it, allowing for a deep scan of your vault no matter how many thousand notes you may possess.

Cons

• I tried Omnisearch, I stopped using it because it didn't have any semi permanent search results like the sidepane (which I did criticize but still).
• Parent context: Omnisearch usually does a pretty good job for me but the search window itself is a bit meh. Same with the Obsidian search feature, the result list is a bit dense to parse and not all that clearly displaying notes/director...
• Both Search and Omnisearch will search either in the entire vault, or in the current file.
• I’ve found Omnisearch to cause really devastating slow-downs in seemingly random ways, but I’m on macOS.
• Omnisearch and custom templater indexes are just a band-aid right now.
