It stuck with me a decade later. It made me fall in love with that style of writing, and I ended up reading a lot of the American classics because of it
Having said that, I enjoyed Of Mice and Men and Grapes of Wrath.
East of Eden is a beautiful book, I absolutely adored it, as well as Grapes of Wrath and Of Mice and Men.
