Obsidian Sync

Pros

• Obsidian Sync is the obvious alternative... It's always worked flawlessly for me
• For me it’s not even a financial thing, I pay them $100 for sync as is
• I use Obsidian Sync. I feel it’s worth the money as it allays some anxiety being built in. It knows when to respond to changes, how to sync them, how to deal with conflicts, and it has version history as a bonus.
• Yes you pay for it, but it’s a small price to pay to have seamless sync and you provide some $ support to the developers.

Cons

• I’ve heard about Obsidian Sync and a few other solutions, but I’m not sure what the best approach would be.
• Syncthing. I'd be happy to use Obsidian Sync and pay for it for a self-hosted version. But I don't want to keep anything on their servers.
• there have been several of these quick capture apps released and they all have this same flaw. Obsidian sync only runs when you launch the full obsidian app. ... I've hit issues where files get confused and overwritten.
• I get this via Obsidian Sync on Windows and Android machines. Just thought I had to live with it.
• I am commited to the official Obsidian sync for my primary use... so LongForm hasn't worked for me...not sure if the Obsidian Sync or plugin is to blame or both, but the sync process continually messed up the booki index
