Cons

  • I use to fly via via there (From the UK to San Francisco) for work a lot and I ALWAYS missed the connection the stupid corporate travel agent set up as Customs/Immigration/etc... took forever there.
  • 90 mins is not enough
  • I've done this connection, internationally, in under 45 minutes a few months ago. I was lucky. I was near the front of the plane getting off, no lines, and power walked through the airport. Would NOT recommend typically. My first flight...
  • It won't happen *with* checked bags in 90m.
  • With checked bags, this is going to be a very tight connection. Baggage in T5 seems to take at least 45 minutes - most of the time the entire plane can clear immigration before bags come out.

I've done this connection, internationally, in under 45 minutes a few months ago. I was lucky. I was near the front of the plane getting off, no lines, and power walked through the airport. Would NOT recommend typically. My first flight was delayed which made the connection extremely tight, but luck was on my side. That same week my friend shared a video of the lengthy security line (with precheck) getting back through and it took her 1.5 hours to clear. Depends on how much risk you like to take!

I have terrible experience with this airport, but to be fair in large part due to lack of sleep heightening the stress.
