Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • For drip with a slew of other features, Ninja has some fun options.
  • Coffee snobs looking down at Ninja have likely never used them. I have yet to find any product from them that is not top notch tbh.
  • I’ve also seen good reviews about the Ninja but don’t have first hand experience.
  • I had a ninja. Now I have a Vitamix. No comparison, the Vitamix does a far better job, faster. Worth every penny we spent.
  • The Ninja is a cheap alternative to the experience quality ones Ninja gives outstanding quality (for the price)

Cons

  • My ninja died at 14 months. Curious to see what replacement/repair might look like but hasn’t been bifl for me
  • I asked my boss if I bought an espresso machine (was going to get a semi auto Ninja) he said no.
  • My current Ninja won’t brew or clean, as the lights on each button just dim and come back on. I looked it up and it seems to either be fully broken or I’ll need to do a lot of shaking it upside down to remove the scale, which sounds like...
  • You think so but I've got a Ninja brand one with temperature control and it's a piece of garbage.
  • We have used Ninja (twice) and a Hamilton Beach. None of which has lasted more than a couple years.

Parent context: I have a Vitamix, so that's what I'm used to. My son and I took a cooking class, though, and used a Ninja there, and we learned about what you said from using it. Reply: It was not as good for making sauces or soups because it didn't funnel like the Vitamix. It blended very unevenly.

The biggest issue with the ninja is that while it calls itself a blender it's a good processor in blenders clothing. ... It is fine for most people but it's in a different league entirely compared to vitamin or blendtec
