Cons
- That'll work out great. Just ask Multiversus.
- It sucks because Multiversus had issues, but it was clear that the team had some genuine talent in terms of the character designs and animations.
- Player first are the guys behind Multiversus so i kinda get it
- Warner Brothers truly has no idea what people want if they thought Suicide Squad and Multiversus were going to be smash hits
- followed a few months later by a $100 million writedown due to the failures of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and the fighting game MultiVersus.

Taking people money and then going offline for a year must be the greatest self sabotage I have ever seen in the “live service” space
I couldn’t believe they waited a year to bring it back and then NO RANKED MODE AT LAUNCH 😭😭😭 insta failure
Given the fact they seemingly learned nothing from the beta, with the full release suffering the same issue of online connection quality steadily declining over time, I'm not surprised. Not to mention the strong monetization and lacklustre free cosmetics.
Meanwhile in the final months of Multiversus they introduced ‘Fighter’s Road’. This was a system that forced you to grind for hundreds of hours to unlock certain fighters, or buy them for $10 each. Good riddance.
By the time it launched, they fumbled monetization and support so drastically that it was practically DOA. Really winning the award for Most Potential Destroyed by Awful Business Decisions I guess.
