It will depend on the quality of the wire used, and you might have to put some new ends on it. Your mileage may vary. Nothing will beat going in the attic and running an ethernet wire. Reply: This was the best option for me because you can actually get close to 2.5gig speeds over good coax. YMMV.

They were pretty simple to put in and work with as I recall.

MoCA works great up to 2.5 Gbps; make sure you have the right filters or disconnect coax into the apartment if not in use.
Practically though, it's almost indistinguishable. Maybe 1-5 ms of latency added. Maybe. Unless you are absolutely saturating MoCA by just copying gigantic files back and forth nonstop, you probably won't be able to tell. Gaming is actually very low bandwidth, so it's not going to be a problem hosting a game server. MoCA is an extremely good solution for home use. Use it.
Negligible latency and as long as your runs aren’t broken or being interfered with by other rf from someone else’s stuff if you live somewhere with shared walls.
MoCA may also be an option, if there are cable TV jacks in each area where you want an Ethernet drop.
