Parent context: I’m not in the US so I’ve not really looked at it a lot but I gather there’s something called a Mobiscribe Wave available super cheap ($89) - a 7.8’’ waterproof Android reader from a company that’s either already gone under or is going to, so not a lot of support and probably not the highest-specced device out there but might be worth a look. Reply: The only one that there is is the mobiescribe wave which is older and available only in the US for $89

It also has loads of space compared to many other ereaders which I loved for all of the books I wanted to sideload. It runs android too, so i just downloaded another epub reader I was more familiar with compared to the one it comes with. So versatile for under $100.

Yes I only have odd devices - the above Mobiscribe Wave (which I like very much)
The other I've found is the mobiscribe wave. It's $89 on mobiscribe.com ... has a button to turn on backlight its the only reader I've seen with this feature. I love it ... It has an excellent note taking app, one of the best there is on a small ereader.
At first I was skeptical about color but it’s actually not bad at all. I have Mobiscribe wave with Kaleido plus. It’s not even the newest version but I enjoy reading comics etc. it’s definitely doesn’t look like an iPad but it reminds me of a newspaper which I actually enjoy the look of.
