I'd take the opportunity to get a Miele c3 Marin or Brilliant/homecare+ at a good price.
So a lot of these issues will be solved by getting the c3 brilliant. The brilliant has a light on the 236 power head. It also has automatic suction power so you don’t need to adjust it.
I think if you're impressed and happy with the c1 you're gonna LOVE the c3 Marin or Brilliant (homecare e or homecare+ in-store).
The Brilliant, the one I think you should get, has what the Marin has plus fingertip controls & a display.
