Pros
- if you use Microsoft 365 for work then you also have terabytes of OneDrive storage there for you
- OP should be branching out into as much of the 365 suite as possible, including work in Entra, Purview & Defender, because finangling all of that into order for all their clients is where the job is
- I’ve started to use Microsoft 365’s native built in TTS feature (Microsoft word, Microsoft Edge browser). They are way better and free to use.
- we’ve had mail through an external provider with Microsoft 365.
Cons
- Parent context: Thank You RedDawg, this is the best/most safe solution, however if I change MX records to point email to something like NetFirms type of email service, there would really be no point. The alternative I see beside MS365 wo...
- Trying to get 365 support is like winning the lottery (it's never happened to me).
- Microsoft’s entire business model with 365 is “pile it high, sell it cheap”. They aren’t geared up to support anyone with remotely complex needs.
- I’m a solo business owner whose entire workflow depends on Microsoft 365 email. For 7+ months I’ve been stuck in what feels like a Groundhog Day support loop — dozens of tickets, no resolution, and escalating financial damage.
- A 365 subscription for that much mail is insanely expensive.

I don't love 365, but I love it more than clowning around with local Exchange.
